You can help your local hospitals this summer by joining Portsmouth Hospitals Charity's Walk for Wards fundraiser.
Our charity is inviting people of all ages to sign up for the event on Sunday 7 July, raising funds for Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust in the process.
The essentials
Join Portsmouth Hospitals Charity on a 7.5km route around Havant’s Staunton Country Park on a (fingers crossed) warm Sunday morning. Bring your friends, family and colleagues together and register today for £12 per person which includes a t-shirt to walk in and keep, parking on the day and snacks for the route. Under 16s are free and we welcome well behaved dogs on leads.
Why you should Walk for Wards
Last year over 120 participants completed the Walk for Wards raising over £20,000 which has already helped enhance patient care and support staff wellbeing. We are hoping to exceed this amount for 2024.
Head of Portsmouth Hospitals Charity, Kate Sandys, said: “We’re really excited to see Walk for Wards back for 2024.
“With last year’s event having a special feel to mark the NHS’ 75th birthday, we’re hoping to make this year’s Walk for Wards just as positive.
“If you have a special connection to our hospital, have benefited from the incredible efforts our staff go to in enhancing patient care, or would like to support your local hospital, we’d love for you to sign up to Walk for Wards today; thank you.”
