Thanks to your donations, people living with dementia attending Queen Alexandra Hospital are currently enjoying listening to the sounds from a new radio recently purchased by our charity funds.

Inpatients now feel more relaxed when visiting the dementia friendly x-ray unit, thanks to 50s and 60s music playing throughout the room.

The radio is part of a series of impressive additions to the space, including wall murals, a skylight and a dementia-friendly clock.

Lynn Butson, Superintendent Radiographer, said: “Patients and staff are really happy with these additions to the room and so many of them have commented how much brighter the space looks and feels.”
