Thank you for kindly thinking of Portsmouth Hospitals Charity to donate in memory of a loved one and we are so sorry for your loss. There are a variety of ways for you to donate and we want to make it as easy as possible for your at such a difficult time. 

Remembering at Christmas

The upcoming festive season can be a particularly difficult time, when we feel the absence of those we love more acutely. This year, we invite you to honour the memory of your loved one through a Christmas bauble on a tree.

The tree will be in the chapel from Monday 2^nd December until the end of December. The Chapel can be found on the ground floor, level A at QA Hospital, up the corridor from Costa. Feel free to go and visit the tree and take some time of reflection if this is beneficial to you.

If you would like a bauble to be included on the tree, please email fundraising@porthosp.nhs.uk

When returning your bauble, you may choose to include a donation to Portsmouth Hospitals Charity in memory of a loved one, as a heartfelt way to celebrate their life and continue their legacy. Donations into the charity allow us to continue supporting Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust to enhance patient care and support staff wellbeing.

Creating a tribute page in memory of a loved one

Create a free, tribute page to your loved one as a special place to share precious memories with family and friends. You create and control your page but we are on hand at fundraising@porthosp.nhs.uk if you would like some help. All donations made on the tribute page will be sent directly to the charity.

Donating through a funeral director

When making funeral arrangements, people sometimes choose to request a donation in memory of a loved one in lieu of flowers for example. Collections can be arranges at the funeral service with those who are leading the ceremony.

Alternatively, a tribute page with funeral notice can be created for funeral collections. 

We can liaise directly with funeral directors about donations collected in aid of Portsmouth Hospitals Charity. They can contact the Charity Team on 02392 283392 or via fundraising@porthosp.nhs.uk

Please remember to include in the above:

• the name and title of the person you are remembering
• your contact details so we can thank you for your donation

By cheque

You can send cheques to the charity or via a funeral director. If you would like to donate by cheque, please make cheques payable to Portsmouth Hospitals Charity and send the cheque to:

Portsmouth Hospitals Charity, Albert House, QA Hospital, Cosham, Hampshire, PO6 3LY

Please also include a cover letter explaining the person you are remembering, and if you would like the donation to be designated to a specific ward or department.
